A funny little item in the OSXDaily blog shows what can happen to a MacBook or iBook or probably really any laptop if a dog with no self control gets hold of one. In the tragedy to the left, it looks like a dog had himself whopper of a big Mac attack. You can see more views by clicking here.

“Virtually nothing is unscathed, it’s even missing keys and the screen has been chewed to oblivion, that can’t be healthy for a dog’s diet,” reported OSXDaily.

Indeed not. We wonder if the dog actually ate the keys. If so, maybe he’ll start chatting up a storm, like the dog Martha, in the Martha Speaks children’s books. (Martha started speaking after someone slipped her a bowl of alphabet soup.)

We at Dog Daily News find ourselves wondering if the dog mistook the hard plastic casing for a Kong toy. After all, we are somewhat colorblind creatures. Red or white? It’s all pretty much shades of grey to us.

We did a taste test in the office, but we found our Mac laptops utterly unsatisfying. That dog obviously was a very unpicky fellow. MacBooks are nothing like Kong toys. And aluminum-clad PowerMacs — we don’t even want to discuss it. Jarvis, who volunteered to take a chonk of one, is now at the doggy dentist, getting a crown on a tooth he cracked while trying. Trust us, dogs: Stick with Kongs and other approved chew toys. Your people will thank you, and so will your teeth.
