I am Frank, your humble but lovable news hound

Permit me to introduce myself. I am Frank, and I will be your guide through all the dog news stories that are fit to print — and some that are definitely not. (Those are my favorites.)

I have a nose for news. Around San Francisco, I am known as something of a news hound. Since I talked my human into letting me have internet access a while back, I have been scouring the web daily for great news stories and features involving my species. I can sniff the hot ones a mile away. It gives me something to talk about when I go to the dog park. It’s made me a rather popular fixture there. When I trot up, the other dogs gather round and I tell them the latest dog news, and we all share opinions. Granted, we’re a rather erudite lot, but our tastes run the gamut. We all like a good intellectual essay on the human-dog bond, for instance, but tell us about Paris Hilton’s latest $350,000 dog house or an adult movie star’s dog doing cocaine, and we’re all ears!

I’m already a published news editor. I work for a site called MyWire, where I put together a page of very interesting dog news and in-depth articles. My page is called Week’sBest Dogs. I love the work, but I’m not allowed to write my opinions of these stories. So I started this website. And I’ve now amassed a small staff to help me gather the best dog stories of the day and assist in running this growing operation. As you will see, we are not afraid to editorialize.

I hope you enjoy. Please feel free to leave comments. If you’re a dog, you may have to get your person to type for you because of the whole opposible thumb difficulty, but they’re generally pretty good at taking dictation.

And now, on with the news!

Your humble but lovable news hound,

Frank
