OK, dogs, it’s time to settle the age-old debate: Who’s better: Dogs or cats? We all know the answer to the question, of course, but it seems there are some people who just aren’t that quick on the uptake, and need a reminder. So we have to vote to let it be known, in no uncertain terms, that dogs are #1! Click here, or on the button to the left, to get to the site where you can cast your vote! (People can vote, too, but only one vote per computer, so if there’s any chance your person might click the cat button, hurry up and vote now before your person gets a chance to!)

The vote is brought to you by a new event called Meet the Breeds, being held Oct. 17-18 in New York City. It’s put together by the American Kennel Club and the Cat Fanciers’ Association (Hah! Cat “Fanciers.” Couldn’t they come up with a less prissy name?), and is predicted to be the world’s largest showcase of dogs and cats. We like their main web web page, because there are far more dogs than cats in the illustration — just as it should be.

The event boasts “160 breeds of dog. 41 breeds of cat. 1 place.” Can you imagine the fun if a few samples of each got out of their kennels at the same time? Woo hoo! We’re thinking of jetting back East, just in case the fur flies. That said, three out of four of us staffers are cat size or smaller, so it’s probably best if we stay right here in our cozy, safe San Francisco office.

Dogs, you didn’t get to vote in the presidential election. You don’t get a vote in your local town’s government. This is your chance for your voice to be heard! Vote today! Canine triumph is just a paw click away!
