Jump to CommentsCould your dog be Cesar Millan's "spokesdog"?
Cesar Millan, aka the Dog Whisperer, is looking for a special dog. Since many special dogs read this website, we thought we’d post what we found on the website for his National Spokesdog Competition:
“We are looking for the next great dog star! This is your chance to show the world your dog’s potential! The Grand Prize winner will appear alongside Cesar Millan in a public service campaign, receive an autographed pair of LandRoller skates, and win a $1000 shopping spree at PETCO. The top three finalists in each category (photos with the most votes) will win a shopping spree at PETCO, a gift card to CesarMillanInc.com, and an autographed copy of Cesar’s new “Mastering Leadership” Series DVD, Common Canine Misbehaviors!”
If you want more info, go to the competition website. Each of us staffers is dying to do this. (I mean look at our photos on our staff page! Are we not a gorgeous lot?) But since we might get into cat fights over it, we’ve vowed that none of us would enter. (At least not while the others are looking…)

Frank, are you entering? How about Ida or Zulu. I was thinking about it, but if any of you guys are going for it, I can’t compete with your waggish humor, biting sarcasm or the way you can sniff out a story.

Zipper, we can’t compete with your clever dog puns! You win! You enter the contest! Actually we already decided not to enter, because it would be a dog-eat-dog world at Daily Dog News if we knew we were competing against each other. So we opted out. That means we can cheer you on!
It that doesn’t work out, one of these days we will be hiring stringers, and we’ll come knocking at your door.

My mom is thinking of entering. In fact she used to work with the owners of MPH productions, but doesn’t anymore. She figures a cute pic of me and 250 words of well written prose may open the door to more writing opportunities. Hey, I’m always ready to lend a paw. Those treats and chew bones have to keep on coming.

Go for it, Lacie! If you’re as cute as you sound, you should be a shoo-in! And if you win, you must visit me in San Francisco and let me take you out on the town. Even if you don’t win, actually…
